We are currently looking for a Finance Director.
The Finance Director will oversee day-to-day finance functions including management and statutory accounts, corporate planning, Business Finance (BF), tax, reporting, and controlling. Manage the process of Regulatory Reporting, Financial planning & analysis, and Financial Reporting including consolidation for the group through the implementation of effective guidelines, policies, procedures, and workflows. Lesha Bank Finance Division partners with the business and support team to contribute to the bank’s growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor the preparation of regulatory returns for various regulatory bodies including QFCRA, QFMA, etc.
- Preparation of Financial Statements for the bank on a regular basis including preparation of presentation documents for various Committees.
- Work closely with group departments and entities to prepare the key annual targets and budget assumptions for the group. Participate in the strategic planning process.
- Monitor financial performance versus the budget monthly to highlight the shortfalls or key drivers of growth.
- Manage the development of the group financial plan and preparation of forecasts for financial performance.
- Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate MIS statements and other financial reports including Asset Liability Committees, Daily Controls, Nostros, etc.
- Assist in preparing financial reports to the Bank’s Board of Directors and its related committees.
- Analyze the impact of the new accounting standards on the Bank’s financial statements.
- Manage taxation matters including the filing of tax returns and looking into taxation aspects in subsidiaries requiring Lesha’s involvement.
- Assisting the management in regular compliance requirements with lenders.
- Coordinating with the investment managers, fund administrator, and custodian for the Fund’s related operational & accounting aspects and overviewing fund’s calculations.
- Overview of bank’s SPVs related to accounting, auditing, and taxation matter through the business teams.
- Overviewing the chart of accounts maintenance function & reporting tools in ERP and Temenos Core Banking System -T24, and managing system implementation of new modules and products including system-generated reports for various Islamic products
- Auditing/Review of the Financial statements/other Reports on a periodic basis in coordination with the Banks Auditors. Preparing Analytical Review Statements on a monthly basis.
- Manage bank’s overall financial resources, set up accounting policy & procedures.
- Lead the analytics agenda towards a modernized finance function. Data, BI, analytics capacity building, and maintaining an effective Business Partnership model
- Satisfy requirements of shareholders, directors, management and government institutions and agencies for financial data related to LESHA BANK’s business
- Ensure timely preparation and accuracy of the financial reporting system for management and directors
- Ensure LESHA BANK complies with all Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFC) and other government financial reporting requirements
- Contribute to continual improvement of IMS and comply to organizational policy and process requirements
Requirements
- 7-10 years of Banking experience in the core finance area/ Big 4 experience with banking clients.
- Excellent knowledge of excel and consolidation
- Chartered Accountant/CPA. AAOIFI qualification/CFA/CPA will be an added advantage.
